Both Mr. and Mrs. Swanson "attended Geneseo high school. Mr. Swanson served during the war, being in Germany 32 months.

Mr. Swanson is employed as a trucker for Robert Egert The couple will reside in Geneseo. CAMBRIDGE Joseph Lievens of Atkinson, 34, who was indicted Sept. 8, 1949, by tjie grand jury for check forgery, Sunday morning was arrested by Roy Palmer, Henry county sheriff, in East Moline. Officials had been searching for him nearly a year.

Following his arraignment yesterday in Henry county circuit court, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to the state penitentiary from one to three years. He will be taken to Joliet tomorrow by Deputy Richard Coulter and Special Deputy Raymond Johnson. Attorney William Kirman, public defender, represented Mr. Lie-vens. Judge A.

J. Scheineman Geneseo Pair Is Wed Today GENESEO Joan Will of Geneseo became the bride of Wayne Erdman of Geneseo this morning at the First Baptist church here. The Rev. Richard Krell, pastor, officiated at the double ring service. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Fred Will, and Mr. Erdman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Erdman, all of Geneseo.

Wallace Yoder sang, accompanied by Mrs. Perry Sand. Phyllis Wildermuth was bridesmaid and Elmer Johnson was best man. Bonnie Talbot, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Ushering were Floyd Talbot and Robert Klavohn.

The bride wore a street-length light blue flowered dress with white accessories. Her shoulder corsage was of white carnations. The bridesmaid was dressed in a light pink flowered dress with white accessories. She also wore a corsage of white carnations. After the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors.

The couple left on a wedding trip, and upon their return will reside at 620 North College avenue. Mrs. Erdman attended Geneseo high school. The bridegroom attended Geneseo high school and is employed at the International Harvester works, East Moline. KLELLA CARTER, Reporter.

and Mrs. Frank Swedman of Wyoming, and Duane Brodd, son of Mrs. Mabel Brodd and the late Dellmore Brodd Sr. of Andover, were married Sunday afternoon in the Zion Lutheran church in Kewanee. The Rev.

Ordell Peterson of Kewanee and the Rev. Everett Bexell performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Keith Peterson of Kewanee played the organ, and Duane Swedman of Kewanee, brother of the bride, sang. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a gown worn by her sister, Mrs.

Wilfred Koehler of Kewanee, at her wedding. The white satin gown had an illusion yoke and bertha, and a full skirt ending in a short train. Her finger-tip veil was held by a lace juliet cap. She carried a shower bouquet of cala lilies and stephanotis and wore crystal necklace and ear-rings. Mrs.

Robert Davis of Kewanee, twin sister of the bride and matron of honor, and the flower girl, Mary Koehler, a niece, both in green organdy, and Mrs. Koehler, in yellow organdy, -wore dresses fashioned like the bride's. Their bouquets were yellow and white daisies. Andrew Koehler of Kewanee, a nephew of the bride, and ring bearer, wore a yellow linen suit. Dellmore Brood served his brother as best man, and Everett Brodd of Cambridge, another brother, was groomsman.

A reception for 300 guests was held at the Andover Lutheran home, where the bride is head matron. Carlee Bengtson of Gales-burg and Mrs. Ralph Fagerquist of Chicago cut the cake. Mrs. Orlo Woodcock was hostess.

Mrs. Richard Ericsson and Dorothy Smith of Chicago poured. Mrs. Bertram Hanson of Chicago, Eleanor Isaacson, Zora Miloradich and Darlene Snyder were waitresses and Marjorie Swanson in charge of the guest book. The couple left for a trip through the northwest, including Yellowstone national park.

For traveling the bride wore a sheer multicolored striped cotton dress with natural linen accessories. Her corsage was deep pink roses. Upon their return they will spend six weeks in Macomb, where Mr. Brodd will attend summer school at Western Illinois State Teachers college. Mrs.

Brodd was graduated from the Wethersfield high school and the Augustana nursery, Chicago. During World war 2 she was employed at various day nurseries in Chicago. She has been employed at the Andover Lutheran home for five years. Mr. Brodd was graduated from Cambridge high school and attended Macomb college.

He is a teacher in the Andover grade school. GENESEO Mary Ann Fleming, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleming, and Donald Swanson, son of Mrs. Laura Swanson, all of Geneseo, were married Sunday afternoon in the parsonage of the First Lutheran church, Geneseo, by the Rev.

G. E. Burton, pastor. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few relatives and friends. The couple was attended by Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Egert of Geneseo. The bride was attired in a white linen suit with white accessories. Over 100 Call Upon Barretts GENESEO More than 100 friends and relatives called during open house Sunday at the hoAe of Mr. and Mrs.

Elmer Barrett in observance of their 45th wedding anniversary. Mrs. George Wildemuth and Mrs. George Busenbark, sisters of Mrs. Barrett, presided at the serving table.

Waitresses were Donna Jean and Elaine Specht and Jane Busenbark. Janice Busenbark had charge of the gifts, and Marcia Wildemuth was in charge of the guest book. A potluck supper was served for the relatives. Mrs. George Busenbark, who served as bridesmaid at the wedding 45 years ago, modeled the shoes worn by the bride at her wedding.

Bridal Gown of White The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of white chiffon over satin fash ioned with a fitted bodice, high neckline, with a yole edged in lace, full-length sleeves coming to a point at the wrist, and a hoop skirt with full train. A coronet of lace held the fin gertip veil in place. She carried a bouquet of white stephanotis centered with an orchid. He fell off the back of a load of hay and the rubber tired wheel of the hay rack ran over his face breaking his cheek and jaw bones. His jaw bone was set Wednesday, and he is improving. It is believed that the rubber tire and the soft ground from the recent rains saved his life.

ft Two of Kewanee Districts Revert to Common School CAMBRIDGE Petitions for detachment of common school districts, No. 45 and 48, from the Kewanee community school district yesterday were allowed by Judge Vera Binks in Henry county court at separate hearings. District 45, known as the Enslow school, is located east of Kewanee and District 48, Huntville school, is in the northern part of Kewanee township. This completes these two cases unless appealed to higher court. A large number of persons attended the hearing.

Petitioners were represented by Attorney Fred Brown of Kewanee. Attorney Harper Andrews and Attorney Gregg Young are counsel for the Kewanee community district and objectors. Petitions were entered in county court Nov. 25, 1949, and were amended May 18. Nearly a year ago a proposal to remove Huntville and Enslow districts from Kewanee district was defeated at a special election.

Estate of Galvan Filed for Probate CAMBRIDGE The will of Frederick M. Lindholm of Galva, who died June 16, was filed for probate in Henry county court yesterday. Real estate is valued at $7,000 and personal property at $4,500. According to the will, the widow, Jessie E. Lindholm, of Galva is named heir.

Frank J. Hanlon is named executor of the will dated May 17, 1924. Cambridge Sewer Committee Named CAMBRIDGE W. P. Floyd, mayor, at a meeting of the village board last night appointed a committee of five on special sewage disposal.

Members are Leonard W. Tel-leen, Anson Nash, Albert Larson, H. L. Poppleton and Frank Wilson, including three board members and two non-board members. Appropriation ordinance was adopted.

The wedding has been set for August. Miss Chaffee was graduated from the Geneseo high school this year, and Mr. Holliday was graduated from Sherrard high school in 1945. He is employed at the Birtman Electric company in Rock Island. Fenmar Farms of To State Picnic of ORION Fenton and Zeddie Hardin of Fenmar Farms were hosts for the state picnic of the Duroc Breeders' association Sunday at the Orion park.

One hundred seventy-five members and their families attended. After the picnic dinner contests and games were in charge of Don Clark of Orion. Prizes were won by Dr. Scott of Chicago, Melvin Feik La-Moille; Patricia and Georgia Vance, Carthage; Jerry Gross, Mrs. Earl Young, Gibson City.

Souvenirs were given to all by the Hardins. Einer Olsen of Denmark, who came with a breeder from Princeton, was a visitor. He is in the United States on government exchange labor under the Marshall plan.

and Mrs. Alex Wallenfeldt, of Cambridge have received word that their grandson, Evert Wallenfeldt had received the Forrest Gillett II and Allen J. Shafer Jr memorial awards at the annual awards day held at West High school in Madison, Wis. He is also in the National Honor society. Wallenfeldt, a football end, was named to the all-state squad, was a member of the basketball and track squads and president of the M-club.

Cambridge Baptist Breakfast for Men To Be Quarterly CAMBRIDGE Forty men Sunday attended a breakfast for men at the Baptist church diningroom.

The Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Baird Gleason of the host church and. leaders of the youth group were among those present from Erie, East Moline, Moline, Rock Island and Cambridge. The Rev.

Sand in Henry county circuit court yesterday by Judge A. J. Scheineman yesterday. The couple was married April 2, 1924, and separated June 11. She charges cruelty.

TAPPER Cambridge, Illinois Orion Are Hosts Duroc Breeders Applications Are Being Received For '51 Gas Heat GENESEO Additional natural gas for home heating may beavail-able in Geneseo about the end of 1951 as a result of the new pipeline planned from the gulf coast to northern Illinois, Illinois Northern Utilities company has announced.

The Federal Power commission authorized the construction of the line, to be built by the Texas Illinois Natural Gas Pipeline company. Until additional gas is assured, the state commerce commission has restricted connection of new gas heating installations. I.N.U. reported that it is unlikely that the additional supply will be sufficient to meet all requests, and the company will not know for some time how many additional customers can be accepted. The I.N.U.

is now registering names of those interested. Many Participate In Orion Saddle Club Ride, Show ORION The Orion Saddle club trail ride was held on Sunday morning at the Carl Fredell farm north of Orion, with the horse show in the afternoon. 150 horses participated in the ride and show and E. A. South of Orion was judge.
